THE ONES WHO MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Since we opened our doors in November 2000 we've been growing to meet the needs of our customer base. When the business got off of the ground our goal was, and still is, to make this business grow by servicing and repairing equipment for local friends, neighbours, towns people and those traveling in the area. We provide average labour rates and share our knowledge with those who are unfamiliar with small engine machines, but who need to use them.

Owner, John Wight, is both self-employed and busy in the small engine shop. His number one priority is to his family. His wife Cheryl and his little girls Cleo and Harmony. John commits to doing his best to repair all outdoor power equipment, including but not limited to lawn and garden equipment, push mowers, riding mowers, weed trimmers, chainsaws, tillers, snow blowers, snowmobiles, ATV's, dirt and street bikes, sea doos, waverunners, inboard and outboard boat motor tune ups.

Co-owner, Larry Wight, is also both self-employed and busy in the hunting and fishing division of Wighty's Repairs Inc. He is the father of John and Teresa and loving husband to the late Cathy Wight (2005). He has been an avid hunter and fisherman since childhood and has had many personal experiences and gained a vast array of knowledge from those experiences. This knowledge and experience he is willing to share with his customers and in turn has found that they come back each and every time with an experience of their own to share. We carry a variety of different equipment for the hunters and fishers, ammunition, turkey calls, clothing, gun accessories, deer calls, scents, fishing lures, rods, reels, fishing accessories, crossbows, and much, much more. We also have been holding courses here at the shop on weekends during the winter season for hunting, possession and acquisition licenses. We are a turkey check station and fur drop off station in their appropriate season as well.

Office manager, Teresa Schoonderwoerd, sister and daughter of owners, has been employed with Wighty's Repairs since September of 2002. She is wife to Don and mother of Georgia, Billie and Addison. She has trained herself to be the leading parts department person and also does quite a bit of sales too. As said by many a customer, for a girl, she has quite a knowledge for repairs, parts information and sales. Come in and talk to her and you too might be surprised by what she knows. She is also the office manger, so if you don't find her behind the parts counter than you will find her in her office busy at paperwork as usual.
